Bata Shoe Company Brings Joy to SOS Children’s Village Blantyre

On 21st September 2024, children and families at SOS Children’s Village Blantyre experienced a heartwarming celebration as Bata Shoe Company marked their 130th anniversary with a special luncheon and generous donations.

Bata Shoe Company donated essential items, including educational supplies, sugar, and soap, valued at 2.8 million kwacha, to support the children and families in the village. The day was filled with joy and excitement, with children showcasing their talents through vibrant dance performances.

“Thank you so much, Bata! We’re grateful for your kindness today!” shared Chimwemwe, aged 13 (name changed for privacy), as the spirit of celebration resonated throughout the village.

Victor Chimombo, Institutional Partnership Development Manager for SOS Children’s Villages Malawi, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Bata Shoe Company for their incredible support. He also extended gratitude to all partners contributing to the village’s mission of providing quality care and nurturing homes for vulnerable children.
