TENDER ADVERT Sept 2026

Introduction
SOS Children’s Villages Malawi is a non-governmental child protection and development
organization established in Malawi in 1991. Our vision is that every child belongs to a family
and grows up with love, respect and security. Our mission is to build families for children in
need, we help them shape their own futures, and we share in the development of their
communities. In pursuit of the vision and mission, we work in collaboration with the
Government of Malawi and other partners to implement various projects focusing on child
protection and development; entrepreneurship and vocational skills training for young people;
livelihood improvement for vulnerable households, child and youth education, as well as
advocacy in the areas of child rights and protection. Our programme coverage is country
wide, operating from Chikwawa, Blantyre, Lilongwe, Mzimba and Mzuzu.

Call for tender
SOS Children’s Villages Malawi invites sealed bids from registered and qualified suppliers
for the supply of the following goods:

Lot 1 Motorcycles.
Lot 2 Start Up Equipment for food production
Lot 3 Start Up Equipment for Hair Dressing and Beauty Therapy.
Lot 4 Start Up Equipment for Tailoring and Fashion Design
Lot 5 Start Up Equipment for Horticulture
Lot 6 Fertilizer and Maize seed
Lot 7 Pig Feeds
Lot 8 Goats for Livestock Production/Farming

Successful bidders will be required to deliver the goods between September and October
2026.

Tender documents
Tender documents may be obtained from SOS Children’s Villages Lilongwe Programme, P.O.
Box 2359, Lilongwe. The office is located along Area 22 Tarmac Road, after NICC and behind Partners in Hope Hospital. Alternatively tender documents may also be obtained from
any SOS Children’s Villages Malawi office or requested by email through NIPC@sos
malawi.org.

A non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 is payable for each tender document.

Alternatively, tender documents can be downloaded from the SOS Children’s Villages Malawi
website: www.sos-malawi.org/downloads.

For online bidders, the tender document fee of MK10,000.00 must be deposited into the
following account:

Proof of payment must be emailed to NIPC@sos-malawi.org for processing of tender
documents. Bidders must present proof of payment at the office, for in-person collection.

Closing date

The deadline for submission of complete bid documents is 25 September 2026 at 16:30
Hours. Late submission renders the bid void
Suppliers/service providers are encouraged to submit their bids as early as possible

Within 30 days from contract award (the earlier the better).
